There can be
only one.
The chain is full of narratives
hoping to be the next only-up.
The Robinhood chain has been filled with endless narratives, each one promising a line that only goes up. They rotate out. They always do. Meanwhile one chart has gone up for every single year on record, through every administration, every crisis and every promise to fix it.
Now paired to $SGOV.
Debtcoin isn't pointing at the debt from a distance. It's tied to the instrument the debt is actually made of — $SGOV, short-term U.S. treasuries. The thing the government issues every time it spends money it doesn't have.
Debtcoin is backed by infinite spending.
They spend
Congress passes a budget it cannot fund. The shortfall becomes new treasury issuance — more bills, more notes, more debt.
The debt prints
The counter above moves every second of every day. It has never gone backwards for a full year on record. It is the only chart that never corrects.
$DEBT tracks it
Paired to $SGOV on the Robinhood chain, launched on Pons. You're holding the meme of the one asset that structurally cannot go down.
Read before you ape.
Where does the number come from?
Straight from the U.S. Treasury's public FiscalData API — the same "debt to the penny" figure the government publishes daily. The page fetches it live in your browser. If Treasury is slow or unreachable it falls back to the last published figure and keeps ticking at the real accrual rate.
Why is the debt "only-up"?
Because spending has exceeded revenue every year on record. The debt ceiling isn't a limit, it's a scheduling problem — it gets raised or suspended every single time. There is no mechanism that makes it fall.
Why pair to $SGOV and not something else?
$SGOV holds short-dated U.S. treasury bills — the literal instrument the national debt is made of. Pairing to it ties the coin to the thing it's about, instead of just being named after it.
Is this actually backed by the U.S. government?
No. Debtcoin is a memecoin. It is not issued, endorsed, backed or acknowledged by the U.S. Treasury, the federal government or anyone who works there. "Backed by infinite spending" is a joke about their behaviour, not a claim about yours.
